Karen J. Stevens, 62 of Piqua, passed away on Friday, July 25,2025 at Ohio’s Hospice in Troy. She was born in Columbus, OH on February 3,1963 to the late Kenneth E. Charles and Virginia May (Wilson) Charles.
Karen will be forever missed and remembered by all who loved her. She is survived by five siblings: Linda (Phillip) Koeberlein, Illinois; Celena (Shawn) Duffy, Colorado, Her twin brother Kenneth Charles, Piqua, OH; Teresa Charles, Piqua, OH; and Nancy (Larry) Mc Donald, Indiana; one aunt: Shirley Swank, Springfield, OH; many nieces and nephews and several cousins. Karen was preceded in death by one sister-in-law: Debra Charles.
Karen worked for Garbry Ridge in Piqua for 15 years before retiring. She loved butterflies and Winnie the pooh. She enjoyed playing cards and putting puzzles together in her spare time and just chatting on the phone and keeping up with her family and friends.
A Celebration to honor Karen’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday August 1,2025 at Melcher Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, Ohio with Brother John Blockberger officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, OH. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to service on Friday at the funeral home.
