PIQUA — Two portions of the Linear Park bike path will be temporarily closed this week as city crews work to seal and preserve the pavement.
The closures will affect the stretch between R.M. Davis Parkway and North Spiker Road, as well as the section from Garbry Road to Troy-Sidney Road. According to city officials, the path will receive two coats of sealer to extend its lifespan and improve safety for riders and pedestrians.
In addition to the path work, the parking lots at Spiker Road and Troy-Sidney Road will be sealed and freshly striped.
The maintenance is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 14, 2025, weather permitting.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the work zones.
