PIQUA, OH – The sounds of summer are making their way back to downtown Piqua as the Lock 9 Concert Series returns this Friday, May 30. Locals and visitors alike are invited to grab their lawn chairs, roll out a blanket, and enjoy an evening of free live music at the Treviño Performance Pavilion in Lock 9 Park.

Kicking off the 2025 series is none other than the Noah Wotherspoon Band, known for their soul-stirring blend of blues and rock. The music starts at 7:00 p.m., but fans are encouraged to come early to soak up the relaxed, festive vibe that makes these concerts a beloved summer tradition.

Nestled along the Great Miami River, Lock 9 Park sits within Piqua’s DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area), allowing guests to sip on alcoholic beverages purchased from participating downtown establishments—just look for drinks served in official DORA cups. You’re also welcome to pack a picnic or bring non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the show.

The Lock 9 Concert Series is a true community effort, presented by the City of Piqua and the A Better Community Fund of The Piqua Community Foundation. This year’s concert season is made possible through generous sponsorship from local businesses including Ambient Productions, Crooked Handle Brewing Company, Koverman Staley Dickerson Insurance, The Piqua Center, Miami Valley Steel Service, PSC Crane & Rigging, and Winans Coffee & Chocolate.

So mark your calendars, invite your friends, and get ready to groove. Summer in Piqua officially starts this Friday—with great music, good company, and a whole lot of community spirit.
