PIQUA — The City of Piqua has officially kicked off its 2025 Pavement Program, aiming to enhance roads and alleys across the community while improving accessibility for all residents.

Work is already underway, with Public Works crews starting on alley resurfacing projects included in this year’s plan. Over the coming months, the program will also focus on resurfacing streets, replacing curb ramps, and improving pedestrian access at key intersections.

As part of the effort to make Piqua more accessible, new ADA-compliant curb ramps will be installed from June through August at intersections along streets scheduled for resurfacing. Street paving is expected to begin in early September, with locations selected based on the city’s 2024 Pavement Condition Index (PCI) report.

The city says this project is an important step toward maintaining safe, reliable infrastructure throughout Piqua.

Full program details and an interactive map of planned work zones are available on the City of Piqua’s website at piquaoh.gov. A GIS map of the pavement work can also be viewed here.
