
Rodney Lee Seibel, 79, of Piqua, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1946 in Brookville to the late Cleo and Elsie (Peters) Seibel. He married Susan (Westfall) Seibel July 24, 1976 in Englewood and she survives.
Including Susan, Rodney is survived by two daughters, Melissa Seibel (fiancé Jeremy Patterson) of Piqua and Alicia Seibel of Columbus; grandson, Trevor Seibel of Columbus; sister, Phyllis Hefelfinger; brother-in-law, Jim Westfall (wife Becky); sisters-in-law, Nancy Eyre (husband Rick) and Kathy Hill (husband Ed) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother and sister in law, Junior and Pauline Seibel, granddaughter, Maegan Seibel, brother in law, Gary Hefelfinger and niece, Peggy Mescher.
Rodney retired from Honda of America in Anna working as an associate. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Rodney was a member of the VFW Post 4874 and the American Legion Post 184 in Piqua. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. His hobbies included making homemade ice cream and mowing his lawn. He especially loved spending time with his family, friends, and his cat, Miss Kitty. Rodney was known for his playful spirit, always joking and teasing with those around him. His love for music and singing turned every moment into a song, bringing joy to everyone he met. Rodney was well-loved by all and will be remembered as a good man who touched many lives with his kindness and warmth.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home including a celebration of life centered service where friends and family will be invited to share jovial memories and stories about Rodney, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Following the remarks at the funeral home, full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
