TROY — A man and woman were found dead Friday inside their Troy residence in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide.
According to a sergeant with the Troy Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of Croyden Road Friday afternoon after a concerned individual noticed an accumulation of mail outside and requested a welfare check.
Upon entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of a couple. Preliminary findings suggest the case is a murder-suicide, though further details have not been released.
An autopsy is scheduled for later today. Authorities say more information will be made available as the investigation continues.
