PIQUA — The City of Piqua has announced plans to begin construction on new pickleball courts at Pitsenbarger Park & Sports Complex later this month. The highly anticipated project will begin with the demolition of the existing tennis courts and surrounding fencing, expected to take place by the end of June.
Construction of the new courts is scheduled to start in early July, with a targeted completion date set for the end of September.
As work progresses, some parking spaces near the construction area will be temporarily closed to ensure public safety and allow access for construction crews.
City officials note that the timeline is weather dependent and are asking for the community’s patience and cooperation throughout the process.
