PIQUA — The City of Piqua Utilities Department, in partnership with the Ohio EPA’s Southwest District Office, has finalized a major update to its Source Water Assessment Report. Originally released in 2003, this newly revised 2025 version reflects over 20 years of environmental changes and system improvements.
The updated report includes revisions to watershed mapping, identifies current potential contaminant sources, and features extensive water quality data—both before and after 2018, the year Piqua’s state-of-the-art $55 million water treatment plant began full operations.
The assessment focuses on the City’s primary drinking water sources and highlights how the new facility has greatly enhanced Piqua’s ability to meet and surpass both state and federal drinking water standards.
Residents, businesses, and community partners are invited to review the complete 2025 Source Water Assessment Report, available HERE
