JOHN P. “DOC” GUILLOZET

John P. “Doc” Guillozet, 91, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 7:05 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born June 21, 1934 in Piqua to the late Leonard and Lorena (Soder) Guillozet. He married Mary “Maxine” Henderson September 11, 1954 in St. Boniface Catholic Church; and she preceded him in death November 17, 2017.

Survivors include three sons, Allen Michael (Jackie) Guillozet of Piqua, Rickey Michael (Cynthia Lester) Guillozet of Englewood, John Allen (Debbie) Guillozet of Piqua; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Mary) Guillozet of the Villages, Florida; and a sister, Lucille Preston of Lockington. He was preceded in death by one brother, and seven sisters.

Mr. Guillozet was a 1953 graduate of Piqua Catholic High School. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He worked for many years as the Owner and Operator of Automotive Armature Works; a family business which his father opened in 1932. He retired in June of 1996 and enjoyed the opportunity to travel with his wife, spend time at Grand Lake St. Marys, and work on remodeling his home which he deeply enjoyed. He was a member of the Knights of St. John Commandery 194; Knights of Columbus Council 3344; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 614. He enjoyed working on puzzles and listening to music. In his later years, he found joy in camping, splitting wood, and mowing the lawn. He will be deeply missed by many.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Isaiah Callan officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
