RICHARD H. TROWBRIDGE

Richard H. Trowbridge, 77, of Piqua, passed away at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2025 in his home. He was born March 9, 1948 in Piqua to the late Harry W. and Miriam D. (Asher) Trowbridge. He married Linda C. Crossman October 8, 1977 in Dayton; and she preceded him in death October 28, 2024.

Survivors include three daughters, Jenifer (Donald Jr.) Orndorff of Sidney, Julie (Steven) Worley of Piqua, Lorie (Jake Ehling) Clefford of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Keith, Kyle, Jessica, Leah, Monica, Jeff, Craig; eleven great grandchildren, Riley, Audrey, Brooklyn, Bailey, Bekah, Nevaeh, Soloman, Lucelia, Harrison, Liam, Vanessa; and a sister, Pamela (Dave) Hughes of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Trowbridge; a grandson, Michael Orndorff; a granddaughter, Hannah VanGordon; and a sister Donna McCoy

Mr. Trowbridge was a 1966 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. where he served two tours of Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 184 in Piqua, AmVets Post 99 in Vandalia, and the VFW Post 4874 in Piqua. Additionally, he was a longstanding member of the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad for many years. He worked as a pattern maker for French Oil; as a postman for the United States Postal Service; and as a truck driver for Spears Logistics. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed showing off his skill at tradeshows. He also enjoyed keeping his mind active by working any and all types of puzzles. He will be deeply missed.

A graveside service to honor his life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Dayton National Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad, P.O.
