PIQUA — On Friday, Aug. 8, seven City of Piqua employees traded in their desks and tools of the trade for paintbrushes and rollers, joining together to brighten up a local home through the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program of the Piqua Neighborhood Improvement Corporation.
The volunteers spent the day on Harrison Street, carefully preparing the exterior before giving the home a fresh coat of crisp white paint. What started as a work project quickly turned into a day of laughter, teamwork, and community pride.

City leaders say efforts like this go far beyond fresh paint — they help build stronger connections between neighbors and show the true meaning of community spirit.
