Linda K. Neff, age 77, of Piqua, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 30,2025. Linda passed peacefully at home after an extended illness. She was born March 21,1948, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late John and Grace (Chapman) Hornsby. She married her sweetheart Roger Neff on August 28,2009 in New Carlisle, Ohio, and he survives.
Linda will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son: Joe Keith Roberts II of Lancaster, Ohio; three daughters and son in law: Lori Devine of St. Mary’s Ohio; Chandra (Tim) Purtee of Casstown, Ohio; Alana Neff of Hilliard, Ohio; one sister and brother in law: Carole (Brett) Fankhauser of Marysville, Ohio; one niece: Kelly Hornsby of Rosewood, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Shelby, Felicity, Jessica, Tyler, Christy, Brennon (Kristen) Purtee, Briley (Ryan) Wallace, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother: Robbie Hornsby and one granddaughter: Allison.
Linda graduated from North Gallia High School and attended Union Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio. Linda worked for Dr. Mark Stover for over 20 years as an orthopedic tech and helped many people during her career before retiring. Linda enjoyed bible studies, fishing and had a gift of making beautiful crafts that she graciously shared with her family. What she loved the most was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor her memories at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio.
