PIQUA, Ohio — Local residents are invited to join neighbors and first responders for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, an evening dedicated to strengthening community ties and fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the public.
This annual nationwide initiative promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie through block parties and outreach events. Piqua’s celebration will feature appearances and activities from several participating agencies, including the Piqua Police and Fire Departments, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Miami County Park District Rangers, and more.
Community organizations such as the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association, Miami County Children’s Services Board, Miami County Job & Family Services, Premier Health, and Wilson Health will also be on hand to connect with residents and provide valuable resources.
Residents can take part in the festivities at several block party locations around the city:
- 400 Block of Adams Street
- 200–300 Blocks of West Greene Street & 400–500 Blocks of North Downing Street
- Ayden Healthcare – 275 Kienle Drive
- 1902 Beckert Drive
National Night Out is a free, family-friendly event, and all are encouraged to attend for an evening of community fun, food, and connection.
