MIAMI COUNTY — A unique summer concert experience is making a splash in the Miami Valley as Tomfoolery Outdoors brings its popular Float Show series to Troy and Piqua.

Catch the free floating concerts on Sunday, Aug. 4, at Treasure Island Park in Troy, and Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Lock 9 Park in Piqua. Both shows run from 6:30 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to enjoy live music from their own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard—or rent one on site.

At the center of the event is a floating paddleboard stage where musicians perform directly on the river. The goal: to blend music, nature, and community in a one-of-a-kind setting.

Rental options include:

  • Single kayak: $25
  • Giant paddleboard (up to 5 people): $125
Reservations are encouraged. Contact Charlie Overlock at (326) 220-7952 or Tom Helbig at (937) 417-2228.

Guests can also bring their own watercraft. Lifejackets are required, and no alcohol is allowed on the water. Shows are rain or shine, with shelter available. Tips and donations are welcomed to support event logistics.
