John C. Weigel, Jr., 66, of Piqua, passed away at 6:11 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1959 in Piqua to the late John C. and Marlene C. (Francis) Weigel, Sr.
Survivors include his three children, John (Jessica) Weigel of Piqua, Brittany (Kyle) Bauman of Piqua, Joe (Amber) Weigel of Piqua; twelve grandchildren, Gavin, Adrienne, Caiden, Haiden, Karson, Bryson, Adisen, Joey, Maddox, Emma, Jackson, Winston; a sister, Malinda “Lynn” (Jim) Williams of Piqua; and two brothers, Greg Weigel, and Mark (Jessica) Weigel all of Piqua. He was preceded in death by a brother, Matt Weigel.
John was a 1977 graduate of Piqua Central High School and was a past member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He worked as “The Best Car Salesman in Ohio” for over 17 years with Dave Arbogast in Troy. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 971 in Troy. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors; especially while fishing, mushroom hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid golfer and looked forward to his weekly round, every Friday with his very close group of friends. Additionally, he enjoyed frequenting casinos to play the slots and trying his luck in the lotto. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and his dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends to honor his life will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
