Kathleen Kiefer, 82, of Piqua, died at 8:41 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at StoryPoint Senior Living Complex in Troy. She was born September 13, 1942 in Piqua to the late Cletus E. and Cecilia (Smith) Holly. She married George C. Kiefer III January 12, 1963 in Piqua; he preceded her in death  July 21, 2015.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jane (Chris) Landis of Troy; two sons, Gregory (Patti) Kiefer of Piqua, Michael (Nadia) Kiefer of California; grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Kuck, Garrett (Taylor) Kiefer, Emma Kiefer, Kristin Landis, Kara Landis, Kiefer Landis, Katie Landis, Haddie Kiefer; great-grandchildren Owen Kuck, Nora Kuck, Liv Kuck, Colt Kuck, George Kiefer; brother James (Elaine) Holly of North Carolina and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Holly.

Mrs. Kiefer was a graduate of Piqua Catholic High School, class of 1960. Kathleen started her career as a teller for Miami Citizens Bank, later known as Piqua National Bank, and finally retired, after 28 years of service in the Trust Department, at Fifth Third Bank. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Mary Catholic Church Cookbook Committee, YWCA of Piqua, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Elks Auxiliary, Mainstreet Piqua Beautification Committee, Friends of the Piqua Library, three Bridge card clubs, and a Cub Scout Den mother. Aside from spending time with her family, Kathleen enjoyed reading, shopping, gift-giving, gardening, and socializing with friends. She lit up every room she entered, always adorned in her signature sparkle and bling that she earned from her part-time position with Joe Thoma Jewelers. She will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Eric Bowman as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Catholic School Scholarship Fund, 503 W. North St. Piqua, OH 45356.
