MIAMI COUNTY, OH — A 6-year-old girl is recovering after being attacked by a dog Saturday morning in Staunton Township, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a home on Piqua Troy Road for an animal complaint. Investigators say the young girl was attacked by a dog belonging to a visiting family member.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her injuries required surgery but are not considered life-threatening.
At this time, no charges have been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
