PIQUA — A historic Piqua church is back on the market and drawing interest after being listed for auction.
The 111-year-old former church at 531 W. Ash St. is being sold through Ohio Real Estate Auctions after previously being listed by Melissa Cleary of Glasshouse Realty Group. The property, built in 1914, features more than 11,000 square feet of space, original stained-glass windows, and vaulted ceilings.
The online auction opened July 30 and is set to close at noon Wednesday. Bidding began at $1,000, and as of Aug. 20, the highest bid had reached $53,000.
The church has also gained attention online after being highlighted by popular social media pages including Zillow Gone Wild and Cheap Old Houses, where users suggested potential uses such as a wedding venue, restaurant, or community space.
